Information != Knowing

Some obvious facts that aren’t very obvious in reality:

Understanding a concept intellectually != Knowing what it really is

Having a great vocabulary about a subject != Expert on that subject

Writing papers, speaking about something != Knowing it in practice

Dressing, talking, walking like Steve Jobs != Well, being Steve Jobs

Learning the Types and Terminology of Mental Biases != Overcoming biases

Speaks a lot of Financial Jargon != Ability to make good financial decisions

Reading a book != Knowing the subject

Reading a Menu != Hunger is satisfied

Learning everything about Water != Quench the thirst

Reading all about Nutrition != Eating healthy

Being a religious person != Living what the religion is about at its core

Speaking Wisdom != Living Wisely

In some cases, the former could indicate some progress towards the latter.

In some cases, the former could just be a distraction from the latter.

In some cases, the former is the most accepted definition of being the latter.

In some cases, the latter is hard to do and so most people delude themselves to believe the former to be the latter

In some cases, languages fail to express the real essence of what the latter really means, and thus convey it words that are far from the reality
